Back in... 2015? 2014?... my parents moved from the frozen tundra of New Hampshire where I grew up to the beautiful, warm, beachy climate of Bluffton, South Carolina. Bluffton is amazing... 20 minutes outside of Hilton Head, 20 minutes outside of Savannah, and super quaint and charming! The best part about it?? They were now a 4 and a half hour car ride as opposed to a fourteen and half hour car ride. Big difference. HUGE difference!

Now, if you know me and the social chatterbox that I can be, you can assume that I get it from somewhere... and my parents are the epitome of being a social butterfly. They are Mr. and Mrs. Bluffton themselves, and I have been so honored to meet so many amazing souls because of them and this wonderful move of theirs. Cassie and Nick are prime examples.

Cassie and Nick met back in 2012, when they would hang out, eat nutella, and just enjoy being together. They're a super laid back couple whom love adventures and walks, being with friends, and having a good laugh. Nick proposed at a park on Hilton Head Island right before I met them. A beach proposal... gotta love it!

The Easter I met Cassie and her parents, Ann and Roger, Cassie had just gotten engaged to Nick and gasp asked me to do their engagement pictures for them. SCORE!!! I was so excited about my first Bluffton photo shoot!! We went up and down Calhoun Street, laughing, being silly, and swatting bugs along the way. They loved their pictures, and I loved them for loving my pictures. Ahhhh, it was wonderful!

Well folks, here's the part I hate writing about... Cassie's father, Roger, had cancer. He was a wonderful human, a kind soul with a warm heart, a good laugh, and a love for his backyard pool. He adored his family and was the best kind of friend. And when he passed away before Cassie and Nick got married, I told them not to worry about their wedding photos. They had other stuff to focus on.

On May 20th, 2017 Nick and Cassie were married at Tybee Island in Georgia, not too far from Savannah. It was beautiful... lots of white roses and hydrangeas, red velvet cake, a flaming donut bar, and a sparkler sendoff. Not to mention popsicles, signature cocktails, and dancing out the wazoo! Roger was honored in the best ways possible, the entire family was having a blast, and all the guests were ecstatic for the couple.

It was a great night.

Congratulations to Cassie and Nick on your wedding!!! May you continue to make each other laugh, make each other proud, and make each other dinner when the other is out later than normal ;) Love you guys!!!
