On Friday June 16th, something amazing happened.
Haven Willow, daughter of Krystal and Brent, was born at Duke Regional Hospital... and I got to meet her when she was just an hour old.
Talk about a life experience!
I met Krystal and Brent back at the end of May when we did their maternity pics... it was them, their puppy Zeke, and the most gorgeous sun you've ever seen. You can see their beautiful, inspiring blog post here. Well... we had such a good time together, they invited me to the hospital so I could take pictures of Haven's first moments and seeing her family for the first time. It was INCREDIBLE. She was so perfect and tiny... with shocking dark hair, a barely-there cry, and she fit perfectly into the crook of your arm. And I would know, because I got to hold her for 10 minutes and I was in heaven... my ovaries were definitely crying! ;)
Congratulations to the Gourley Family! Thank you THANK YOU THANK YOU for letting me be a part of your world at one of the most special times ever. This was an experience that I will never forget, and I cannot wait to see Haven Willow grow into an amazing person. It's kind of hard not too with such an amazing family around her!
