the people
This past Saturday, on January 27th, I had the pleasure of meeting Noah and his wonderful family! I learned right away that Noah was super special... he "GQ" posed for me in all his pictures, he never once complained about having to stay up on the bema for more family pictures, and doted over his almost three-year-old brother, Max. Noah greeted everyone who came in with a hug and a smile and was so easy going the entire time! It was super apparent that he made an excellent son, brother, cousin, friend, and everything else you can throw at him!
the event
Noah's Bar Mitzvah, held at Temple Beth Or in Raleigh, was tinged blue and was PERFECT all around! During the ceremony, Noah's tallis was a beautiful gray and blue color, while his kippah was also a navy blue with his day details engraved inside. He drank wine from his Great-Grandfather's kiddush cup and read the Torah from a golden feathered yad, given to him by his parents. The party itself also had amazing details, such as a candy bar, blue and silver balloons from Balloon Krazy that spelled out "Noah", a customized logo, an ice cream station, and a canvas for everyone to sign. Ryan Pflum, DJ and owner of SPIN, did an amazing job as emcee, while playing games, spinning tunes, taking requests, and keeping the party going! The food, catered by Catering by Brenda, was filled with mac and cheese, pasta, meat, salad, cannolis, and a whole bunch more awesomeness.
the yay!!!
Noah... I know your class, your teachers, your rabbis, and especially your family are all SO STINKING PROUD OF YOU! Congrats to you on becoming mar mitzvah, you have worked tremendously hard to get where you are! I look forward to seeing you and the rest of your class again at the next one! Till next time... stay classy, my friend.
