Jackie and Kenny were married November 16, 2019. The weather was a bit chilly, but their wedding was a classic and cozy fall event filled with warmth of family and friends.
One particularly unique detail for the bride and groom was that they did NOT have a first look. Instead, they chose to do a gift exchange right before the ceremony. They stood on either side of the door to the chapel and held hands around the edge of the door -BUT no peeking! They read notes from each other and had some laughs. There were some truly sweet moments to be had in this style of pre-ceremony connections. Scroll down for a few of the photos!
Another special detail was how the bride included her deceased father in the wedding. Jackie’s mom walked her down the aisle, but she carried a small charm with her dad’s photo on her bouquet. At the reception, there were photos, candles and a memorial poem remembering her father as well. And, rather than skipping the traditional father-daughter dance, Jackie opted to dance with her mom!
Speaking of the reception -I think I mentioned it was a bit of chilly day, but not too cold for an Andia's Homemade Ice Cream Sundae Bar! They had alllllllll the things. A variety of ice cream flavors, sprinkles, syrups, cherries, and more. It was truly delightful! And then, after some dancing, there was a bubble sendoff. Which is such a magical way to exit a wedding reception. The lightness and shimmer is the perfect metaphor for a journey into the future together!
Okay, okay, enough words… here are a few photo highlights from Jackie and Kenny’s classic wedding at All Saints Chapel in downtown Raleigh!
