RALEIGH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | ALL SAINTS CHAPEL | TARA & DAVID

remember when it was chilly outside?

Winter weddings on the cusp of a fresh spring season are magical in their own way. Because of daylight savings time, it gets dark super early. Which means only the most romantic nighttime portraits are entirely possible, many thanks to the twinkling lights strung above the cobblestones at Market Hall. So. Dreamy.

tara and david

This impossibly stunning couple is Tara and David. They were married in February of this year and I’m sooooo excited to share their wedding photos with you! It was such a fun event filled with some of the most positively adorable kids!!! While we made the bridal party portraits at Market Hall, the actual wedding and reception both took place at All Saints Chapel in Downtown Raleigh. The ceremony was held upstairs, with day-of coordination help (and maker of all things floral!!!) by Lelia Kate of the Mason Street Manor, who happens to also be long time friends with the bride. Dinner was also held upstairs, catered by Empire Eats Catering, and included barbeque, mac and cheese, and all sorts of yummy awesomeness. The downstairs space was perfect for. all. the. dancing. And cake. And popcorn bar! Also, huge thanks to Oak City Entertainment for the energetic audio ambiance!

One of the sweetest details of this wedding was that David’s son, Jackson, was in his bridal party! He was 8 and was so happy for Tara and David to get married after being together for a few years. Looking at these pictures, it wouldn’t surprise you that Tara and David met at the gym, which remains a big part of their lives together. And, many of the guests are their gym friends!! I never felt so un-fit in my entire life ;)

bridal portraits, anyone?

Now, before you scroll down to the photos, I have to mention, Tara’s mom really wanted her daughter to have some gorgeous bridal portraits, so a couple of weeks before the wedding we made her dream come true! We took Tara’s bridal portraits at the Mason Street Manor, one of my favorite southern spots here in the area. There will be another post very soon about this bridal portrait session because there is so much to say about contemporary bridal portraits. But I will leave you with this sneak peek leading into the wedding photos…

congratulations, tara and david!

I wish you so much strength in your marriage with an abundance of love and fun for years to come!!!
