Nikki and Ronnie’s relaxed outdoor summertime wedding from July 2019 is exactly the sort of intimate event inspiration that everyone needs right now. Both teachers in Durham, Nikki and Ronnie had each recently lost their fathers, and really wanted a simple wedding focused on close friends and family. Who knew this would foreshadow the current micro wedding trend!
The day was mostly smooth sailing except for when Nikki’s wedding band fell in the grass and everyone was searching for it for a good 10 minutes. It seemed like forever (maybe because it was so hot that day!!) but eventually the wedding ring was found. Phew! Can you imagine???
Nikki walked down the aisle with her mom and the couple enjoyed a beautiful ceremony in which Ronnie’s brother Matt actually married them. When the officiant is someone close to you, emotions can run especially high, and in quite a range. There were tears, there was laughter. It was very sweet and oh so perfect for them.
After the wedding ceremony at JC Raulston Arboretum, there was an equally intimate wedding reception at Clouds Brewing. The whole day was a joy filled celebration of love. -And now the happy couple also has a little one, SOOOO CUTE! Isn’t that exciting?!?!
Congratulations, Nikki and Ronnie!!!
