the beginning
It has been one year since one of my most favorite days ever. HOLY. MOLY.
Back aways (I mean, a WAYS aways) I met Kevin and Cameron, an amazing couple sooooo in love, whom I met because of a giveaway I was doing in honor of the Orlando nightclub shooting. They were (excuse me, ARE) the bomb. Fun, friendly, and happy, so full of laughter and positivity that I instantaneously fell in love with them. I blogged about their entire session and how much fun we had on the family farm taking sunset pictures in the tobacco leaves, but alas, that was on my old website and no longer exists. BUMMER.
Anywho, I kept in touch with them, because they became family. And my family, over New Years in 2016/2017, became engaged. EEEEEK!
why it happened
One day, I was chatting with my friend Caroline from The Prettiest Pieces, and we were both saying to each other, MAN, I really would love to do another styled shoot together! In fact, wouldn't it be great if we knew someone who got engaged and wants pretty pictures?
BAM! Kevin and Cam flashed in my head. They are just the kindest, most giving souls around, and if anyone deserved another shoot... it would be them. I knew that it would be perfect. However... I'm busy. Caroline is busy. And I had no idea where to even begin! Enter Emily of Emily Katherine Events, a super detailed and super organized wedding planner who knew how to get it done. Not only did Emily take our idea and run with it, but she knocked it out of the park with the most amazing vendors!!! We also had chinchilla rabbits, friendly goats, and the best sunset you could ever possibly ask for.
This shoot has been one of my favorites since we had it last year. It has been published countless times, and is still going to get published in future blogs still! It makes my heart happy to see these photos, and I just can't believe that it's taken me this long to share them all with you in my own blog. How rude of me.
